Atlantic Vision Partners expands use of Amperos for end-to-end denials and collections automation

by Michal Miernowski

Atlantic Vision Partners (“AVP”), a leading ophthalmology practice in the mid-Atlantic region, has expanded its use of Amanda, Amperos’ multi-modal AI coworker. To date, Amanda has automated thousands of claim follow-ups and denials by calling payors, saving AVP countless hours otherwise spent on hold. Now, the AVP team has adopted Amanda’s latest capabilities to navigate browser workflows, providing a new level of end-to-end automation.

Atlantic Vision Partners is a leading ophthalmology practice management organization with over 44 affiliated practices and a multi-state management services organization building a best-in-class network across the eastern United States. AVP has built a reputation for partnering with ophthalmology and optometry clinics run by distinguished doctors and surgeons, supporting them in growth and operational excellence.

“Amperos came to us as a referral from another ophthalmology PPM, and despite their strong reputation, they’ve exceeded our expectations—both in the quality of their AI and their high-touch support,” said Roberto Conte, Chief Executive Officer at Atlantic Vision Partners. “Amperos’ AI for denials and collections, Amanda, has already helped us collect thousands of outstanding claims through calling, and we’re excited about the new automation now available through its payor portal capabilities.”

While voice AI for automating insurance calls is gaining traction in healthcare, many solutions have limited ability to interface with either a provider’s PM system or payors’ websites. The result is walled-off data, AI agents with limited context, and a poor user experience. Amperos built the first multi-modal AI coworker in RCM, capable of completing full workflows across calls, payor portals, and customer PM systems.

“Our team has years of experience testing new AI solutions in RCM, and we’ve seen many where low-quality results and fractured PM integrations limit ROI,” said Michelle Peck, Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management. “Our experience with Amperos has been the opposite: minimal change management, high-quality results, and clear ROI.”

“The Atlantic Vision Partners team has been a great partner from day one,” said Michal Miernowski, Chief Executive Officer of Amperos Health. “We’re incredibly excited to keep expanding the partnership across other RCM workflows.”
